Emerging Talent Competition - win a slot on one of Glastonbury's main stages

15/01/15 - Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition is open for entries between Monday 19th January and Monday 26th January 2015. Entrants must be based in the UK and Ireland and the competition winners will be given the opportunity to play one of the festival's main stages. Previous Emerging Talent Competition entrants include Scouting for Girls, the Subways and Stornaway.

Applications open for Poetry&Words performers

30/12/14 - The organisers of Glastonbury's Poetry&Words tent are inviting "poets, wordsmiths, lyricists, spoken word artists, raconteurs, story tellers, stand-up poets and slam champs" to apply for the chance to perform at this year's festival. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 6th March 2015.

Lionel Richie confirmed for Glastonbury 2015

30/11/14 - Soul singer Lionel Richie will be playing the Pyramid Stage on Sunday afternoon at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Richie, whose hits include 'Hello', 'All Night Long',' Easy', and 'Dancing on the Ceiling', will be making his first UK festival appearance. Festival co-organiser Emily Eavis said: "He’s got so many amazing songs, to see him perform here on the farm is just going to be wonderful."

All 135,000 tickets for this year's festival, the 32nd to be held at Worthy Farm, have been sold. After an initial sale of coach and ticket packages on Wednesday 1st October 2014, the remaining tickets went on sale on Sunday October 5th 2014 and sold out in 25 minutes.
