30/03/17 - The National, The xx, Biffy Clyro and Katy Perry are among the 80-plus artists confirmed this morning for Glastonbury Festival 2017. The announcement also featured: Barry Gibb, Royal Blood, Stormzy and Chic, with Major Lazer, Alt-J, Boy Better Know and Lorde also set to appear.

Ed Sheeran revealed as Sunday headliner

16/03/17 - Ed Sheeran has been revealed as the third Pyramid Stage headliner for this year's Glastonbury Festival. Sheeran will headline on Sunday night, with Radiohead headlining Friday and Foo Fighters topping the bill on Saturday.

Sheeran first played at Glastonbury in 2011, performing early Friday afternoon in the Croissant Neuf tent. He last played in 2014, appearing on the Pyramid Stage after Dolly Parton.

Foo Fighters confirmed for Saturday

24/02/17 -Foo Fighters have been revealed as the Saturday night headliners at this year's Glastonbury Festival. The news was announced at a fan-only gig held tonight at the Cheese and Grain in Frome.

Foo Fighters were due to headline Glastonbury in 2015 but were forced to cancel their appearance after Dave Grohl fell from the stage and injured his leg at the Foo Fighters' June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Emerging Talent Competition launches

24/01/17 - Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition is open for entries between 9am Monday 30th January and 5pm Monday 6th February 2017. Entrants must be based in the UK or Ireland. The winners of the free-to-enter competition will receive a £5,000 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation. The two runners-up will be awarded a £2,500 PRS Foundation Talent Development prize. The 2016 competition was won by Merseyside band She Drew The Gun.

Applications open for Poetry&Words performers

11/01/17- The organisers of Glastonbury's Poetry&Words tent are inviting "poets, wordsmiths, lyricists, spoken word artists, raconteurs, story tellers, stand-up poets and slam champs" to apply for the chance to perform at this year's festival. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 3rd March 2017.

Radiohead to headline Friday

20/10/16 - This morning saw the first official line-up announcement for Glastonbury Festival 2017 as Radiohead were revealed as Friday night headliners on the Pyramid Stage. Speculation that the band were due to be announced gathered pace yesterday when viewers of the BBC's Glastonbury webcam spotted Radiohead's 'Modified Bear' logo being marked out in the Pyramid Stage field.

How to book Worthy View, campervan tickets and tipis

09/10/16 - Standard tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2017 went on sale at 9am this morning and sold out in around 50 minutes. If you were among the majority who didn't get a ticket, don't give up hope as there's likely to be a resale of returned tickets in the spring.

Coach + ticket packages sell out

06/10/16 - 15,000 'coach + ticket' packages for Glastonbury Festival 2017 went on sale at 6pm today and sold out in 23 minutes. Standard tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 9th October.
